Interview with Sparkie, Craig and Allison

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Sparkie: jumpers
Craig: If you know ahead of time that your going wear two pairs of underware and wear thermals!! They have to be white no colors. That's the most important advice I can give, wear thermals. It doesn't matter what time of year you get locked up the jail is always freezing.
Allison: All white only and you could only bring it in if you knew you were coming and wore it in. Underwear, and tee- shirts only were allowed.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Sparkie: jumper, green
Craig: You get a green jump suit and slip on sneakers. make sure they fit when they get issued to you.
Allison: Two piece uniforms, a shirt and pants. Some were mauron and some brown. You did not always match. Jail issued white sneakers. Sizes were limited.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Sparkie: ones that fit
Craig: No Just make sure they issue you a jump suit and sneakers that fit.
Allison: People hoarded uniforms. You were allowed 2 sets only and all the girls wanted the brown because they were a different material and more comfortable.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Sparkie: yes
Craig: Yes
Allison: Yes. The men wore jumpsuits, 1 piece in a grey-green color.
