Leisure Time

Interview with Todd

JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time?
Todd: They had a TV, cards or you read a book. That was it. No wieghts, no basketball, nothing like that.

JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details.
Todd: Not really. Mostly they only had on Jerry Springer and that was pretty lame after a while. You could hardly hear it so nobody was getting into a fight over that.

JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail?
Todd: I pretty much stayed the same while I was in there. No big change either way.

JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise?
Todd: One hour a day.

JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held?
Todd: I think they did and they might of had bible study too but I never went.
