Medications

Interview with Blunt, Charles, Patrick, Ryan, TJ and U.N. Owen

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Blunt: yes
Charles: Yes. But it took a long time for them to diagnose me with my illness and get the meds.
Patrick: yes
Ryan: yes
TJ: yes
U.N. Owen: Yep.

JM: How did you get your medications?
Blunt: the jail will check your backround
Charles: In C95 the prisoners would visit the pharmacy to get their meds. Many in C95 were on Methadone. Some prisoners would not swallow their pills and them sell them later. Some of those pills got you high. In the MO ward the meds were delivered to the unit on a mobile wagon. They give the meds through a glass partition.
Patrick: every night they would call medication and they would take all those for medication up to the clinic
Ryan: they took you
TJ: at the clinic
U.N. Owen: At the medication windows.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Blunt: you could loss all your good time. fighting punishments, no phones
Charles: THE BOX. never was in the box. thank GOD. Locked up in a box for 23 hours a day. for weeks or months.
Patrick: you where put in the box
Ryan: bing
TJ: none
U.N. Owen: Yep.
