Visitor Policy

Interview with Neal

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Neal: JUST ON WEEKEND, BUT ONLY GET 15 MINUTES, AND HAVE TO TALK THROUGH A PHONE RECEIVER AND SEE YOUR FAMLILY THROUGH A GLASS PETITION.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Neal: NO THEY HAD TO SHOW THEM THEIR ID AND WANT TO KNOW WHO THEY WANTED TO SEE. SOMETIMES THE LINES GET SO LONG AND HAVE TO WAIT LONGER FOR A VISIT.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Neal: A LITTLE ROOM WITH 7 SEATS ON ONE SIDE FOR THE INMATES AND 7 ON THE OTHER SIDE FOR THE VISITORS, AND A BOOTH FOR THE JAILER TO WATCH YOUR EVERY MOVE. VISITATION ONLY LAST 15 MINUTES AND THEN THE NEXT 7 VISITORS COMES IN AND THE NEXT 7 INMATES
