Meals

Interview with Ron

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Ron: Three meals per day plus snakes if you could afford them.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Ron: The food was served on open plates, The chicken was my favorite meal, it was baked, moist and nice serving to inmates, my least favorite meal were the hamburgers, not much taste in the meat and tasted like rubber, but the greens and salad was quit tasty. We all waited for chicken day.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Ron: The chicken was to die for as my favorite, my least favorite meal was the hamburgers, not much taste in the meat.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Ron: There were other snacks offered outside of meals in commissary, crackers, candy m&m's, it was a lot cheaper then. How expensive was it? .35 cents per item. There was not a huge selection to choose from.
