Pre-sentencing

Interview with Ron

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Ron: I stayed six weeks in solitaire confinement before sentencing, with three other inmates, one who murdered his family, and an other who was a sex offender. There was a vagrant who stayed for a month before leaving. before he left he said that Ohio would never be in his trip again. I should of listen to his words as well.

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Ron: I was inside a store when I was arrested after hours, B&E. I tried to leave the back entrance of the store but the doors were locked and bolted from the top and bottom. so I ran out the front store where the police draw their guns and cuff me to jail.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Ron: I was Ok with most of the scenery, a little nerves for the most part meeting the judge for the first time. I was thinking thinking I am going to prison for sure this time entering the court room for the first time. The court room was friendly, there was really nothing to scary about the court room considering people get married there all the time, well, I would say it was a mix thought.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Ron: Charged with B&E and sentence was reduced to Criminal trespassing.
