Interview with Janet
JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Janet: we could only get medication when the nurse came
twice a day. or if we bought over the counter
stuff available on commissary.
JM: How did you get your medications?
Janet: the nurse came twice a day to pass out
prescription medication. and at this time if we
needed anything else over the counter we had to
put a request in and pay a ten dollar fee which
allowed us to have this item for a week.
JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Janet: if you abused your prescription drug they would
have the right to take it away from you. and
would get put in lockdown. this was done often.
