Interview with Chuck
JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Chuck: 3 provided by the County.
JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Chuck: Jail food always sucks but here it's not terrible.
The portion size is bad, real small.
JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Chuck: Shepards pie was good and the chili/soups were
good. Burgers and fries are good too.
Breakfast sucks b/c it's hot oatmeal 2 days a week
(mon/Fri) and cold cereal every other day.
JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Chuck: No snacks. Commissary was lacking but OK. You got
a sheet the day before you went to select what you
wanted. They did have instant coffee and I loved
that. Summer sausage, jalapeno cheese, squeeze
cheese, 3 types of candy bars, hard candy, chips,
hygiene items and everyones favorite ramen!
