Inmates

Interview with Russ

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Russ: indeed, most were animals, and in for much more serious crimes, they acted like animals and without morals. or care, they seemed to enjoy there new home but i had no issues getting along,

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Russ: be strong don't act week, be stand tall. and watch your back. don't walk in with your head down, or you will be a target. you will be a person who gets messed with daily for your goods, or money or commissary, as i said talk little no showing off don't act like a bad ass,

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Russ: no choice in that area, it was with who ever but the system seemed to class us accordingly to our own dispositions, so it worked out for most of us.
