Interview with Dan, Hugh and Wendy

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Dan: yes for like headaches the nurse would come and give us something then they would watch us take it and then check are mouth
Hugh: Yes you could get medicine
Wendy: I asked them can I get my inhaler because I have asthma and they wouldn't give it to me

JM: How did you get your medications?
Dan: the nurse would have a chart with what medication u would take at what time and then she would come and bring it to you and watch you take it
Hugh: A nurse would come by up to three times daily depending on how often you need to take the medicine
Wendy: as before I didn't get my medicine at all... some people don't believe you when you tell them some of the guards are nasty

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Dan: i don't know i never seen anyone abusing them and no i didn't see any of this while i was in there.
Hugh: Yes you would put the whole housing unit on lock down I witnessed this twice in my experience in jail
Wendy: I didn't see any people using drugs in jail, people usually come in with drugs in their system most time.
