Interview with Cori and Grady

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Cori: NOTICE OF BINDOVER SENT TO STARK COUNTY SHERIFF. DEFENDANT DEJA MCCOOL SUMMONED ON July 17, 2005. BINDOVER RECEIVED FROM ALLIANCE MUNICIPAL COURT, 2005CRA00794 2913.05A TELECOMMUNICATIONS FRAUD F5. DEFENDANT BOUND OVER FROM ALLIANCE MUNICIPAL COURT, ON Jul 25, 2005. MUNICIPAL COURT BOND WAS TRANSFERED TO STARK COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT. ON JUL 25, 2005 DEFENDANT RELEASED PER PRE-TRIAL RELEASE PROGRAM PER JUDGE LAVERY. DEFENDANT ARRESTED ON WARRANT 07-17-2005. DEFENDANT COMMITTED TO STARK COUNTY JAIL IN LIEU OF 25,000.00 CASH OR SURETY BOND.

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Cori: Yes I did have police stop by the house by I wasnt home when they came. When I did get arrested I was driving back from Michigan and got pulled over because the cops knew I would be driving because my boyfriends license was suspended.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Cori: Court was very hectic. I had court in different court house not only in Stark County Municipal Court. I was tried on three different charges in three different courts. I had fell victim of a mailing scam and had all the evidence but the judge didn't want to listen to or review my evidence. He threw it all out. I was looking at three years if I didn't plead guilty even though I knew I was in the wrong. I did plead guilty to all charges.
Grady: Too fast.Public defender was WORTHLESS. ( Kim Stout)

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Cori: My original charges was Felony for Theft, Felony for Telecommunications Fraud and a M1 for passing bad checks. I ended up being convicted for F5 Theft, F5 Telecommunications Fraud and an M1 for Passing Bad Checks.
Grady: Petty Theft and Criminal Trespass
