Jail Layout

Interview with Mario

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Mario: I am unsure of the layout of the jail as I stayed in one block only.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Mario: I am unsure of the layout of the jail as I stayed in one block only.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Mario: I am unsure of the layout of the jail as I stayed in one block only. I have the feeling that they divided people based on race or background as most of the people in my block were the same race as myself.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Mario: The Payne County Jail is fairly new, so the building is clean and much nicer than other jails, and much better than the old Payne County jail which was housed in the basement of the courthouse and was in horrible condition. I'm sure all of the blocks are just as nice as the one I was in.
