JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process: Dodo: done via video, people who are dope sick/nodding out
sit/sleep/slouch in chair in small room until this
process is completed Misty: You are brought into the jail and put in booking. You are asked
a bunch if questions by a nurse and by a corrections officer.
They then take you into a holding cell until you are arraigned.
Then you get to make a phone call once the judge set bond
JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested. Dodo: n/a Misty: There was an argument between me and my step daughter
and the police came to my house and accused me of hitting
her. They came to my house a couple days later and arrested
me and took me to the jail where I was arraigned by the judge.
Then waited to make a phone call.
JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall. Dodo: n/a Misty: Arraignment And the actual court was kind of scary the
arraignment you sit in RBC in front if a screen and talk to the
judge but during the trial you actually get taken by the bus to
the courthouse. That us very nerve wracking and you aren't
sure what is going to happen.
JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of? Dodo: n/a most charges are drug-related, if not
possession, intent to deliver, then the charges were
committed while drinking or using, DUI, many
assaults, public drunkenness, theft, burglary. Misty: Domestic violence then convicted of assault.
