JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Danny: there was two telephones on ths small block, and
once breakfast was over, you had access to them
all day untill lock down time.
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Danny: the prison has a charge based system that would
take money off the books for each phone call. i
know i spent on average 20.00 a week just on
phone calls.
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Danny: no, they had an automatic system that would
deduct from your money account.
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Danny: oh yes, every word and you never knew if you
were being recorded
