Interview with Robert and Amanda
JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Robert: My sentence was for 2-23 months with 7 yrs probation at the
end of 23 months and then a 12 month consecutive sentence
for a total of 10 yrs plus sex offender registration for 10 yrs, no
unsupervised contact with minors other than own children and
no Internet chat rooms plus 3 yrs of counseling.
Amanda: I was sentenced to 5 and 1/2 to 24 months.
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Robert: Yes I was in a holding cell and it was horrible. Small and
crowded and hard benches. We were finally served a
sandwich and we were not able to have access to a bathroom.
Amanda: Never a holding cell. Straight to the prison and
was taken to the intake block. The intake block
was the worst experience b/c my cellmate was
coming off of methadone and she was physically
ill for 7 days.
