Interview with Robert and Amanda

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Robert: You could have visitors either Fri Or Sat depending on your last name for one hr.
Amanda: I could have visits twice a week for 30 minutes a time. The visiting list had to be preapproved.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Robert: Apparently it was very lengthy and they were checked thoroughly for contraband and to make syrebtherevwere no weapons. No cell phones were allowed in either.
Amanda: I was told the check in time was about thirty minutes. Also visitors had to be checked for contraband and present the appropriate id to get in.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Robert: Very open at a table with very little physical contact. You had to speak quietly and there could be no excessive noise or demonstrative outbursts. People were close to one another so private things could not really be discussed. It was a very demeaning environment especially for family members and friends.
Amanda: The visiting room was a small room that was very dirty and not well lit. They crammed as many people into the room as possible. You had to sit in a hard dirty chair across from your visitor. The table that you sat at typically had graffiti and was stained with all kinds of things.
