Interview with Johnny
JM: How many different blocks were there?
Johnny: 10 separate cell blocks with 21 housing units
JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Johnny: blocks c through i, k block, l block, and j
block(SHU)
JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Johnny: L block 2, H and I were all honor dorm blocks with
cooking utilities. C block 2 was the ASAT program
dorm while all others were general population
housing units.
JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Johnny: The worst parts of the blocks were the ones that
housed 80+ inmates. The dorms were dirty and in
need of major maintainance overhauls. Bathroom
fixtures were always broke. The nicer blocks
housed less people. Sometimes 30 or less and were
much cleaner and well maintained. They housed
better inmates to do time with.
