Meals

Interview with Matt and Johnny

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Matt: 2-3
Johnny: 3 meals a day mon-fri and on the weekends 2 meals a day

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Matt: awful
Johnny: The food was absolutely horrible. All meals were cook chill meals coming from a bag that only had to be heated in water. Every meal also contained a high quantity of soy bi-products instead on real meat. It was very difficult to receive in full quantity the daily requirements and human needs for growth and development.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Johnny: The french toast was by far my favorite meal served. We only got it once every 8 weeks for breakfast. All other meals I disliked.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Johnny: No snacks were offered but commissary was available once every 2 weeks for inmates to buy as they please. This food item limit is 55 dollars each buy but the prices on items were reasonable
