Interview with April, Julie, Brenda, Cesar and Eddie

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
April: 2-8 months and I served all 8
Julie: I was sentenced to 12 months to 4 years, immediate work release.
Brenda: 2 to 5 with no RRRI
Cesar: 3 to 9 years up state . I was in the county prison august 17 2010 til march 17 2011
Eddie: 1-2 years followed by a 3 year probation tail.

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
April: Yes I was on a holding cell, they take you underground from the jail to the courthouse. I wasn't excited because I knew I wasn't leaving the day of my sentencing due to having to go to another jail because of a detainer.
Julie: No. I was already serving 60 days work release and walked out and went to work. It was maybe 3 days before the first was up and that sentence began.
Brenda: No holding cell. I went directly back to the pod. I was then put on a suicide watch for 3 days because I couldn't stop crying. They checked me every 15 minutes.
Cesar: i went to the holding cell and automatically everyone started speaking to about what had happen in court . then after 5 minutes they opened the door called me out handed me a pass and sent me back to population ....
Eddie: I was taken to a holding cell after sentencing. I waited there for about 30 minutes then I was transferred back to my assigned pod and cell. That is where I spent the remainder of my sentence.
