Interview with Dave

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Dave: well i was actually in my house watching tv about 2 am in the morning when there was a knock at the door they showed my sister a picture of me and asked was i home the they told me i had a warrant for a previous charge and arrested me i knew that they was going to come sooner or later i was just scared to turn myself in

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Dave: yes i had a warrant out for my arrest,from previously not showing up for a misdemeanor hearing for public intoxication,and it happen on more than one account so i had prior community court fines and hearings that i did not show up for as well as breaching my final probation period term

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Dave: well court was kind of nerve wrecking because it was bench warrant court so first of all it was packed to the door and the judge was not in a good mood because everyone there was there for not taking care of their business properly in the first place but he was very kind to me

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Dave: failing to appear for a previous charge
