Inmates

Interview with Don

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Don: NO, AS LONG AS YOU DID NOT COME IN THERE LOOKING FOR A HARD WAY TO GO, YOU DID NOIT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE OTHER INMATES. SOME JUST WANTED TO DO THIER TIME.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Don: WORKING OUT IN THE GYM, WRITING A BOOK ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE, TAKING CLASSES THAT THE PRISON SET UP TO EITHER WAS REQUIRED FOR RELEASED OR JUST TO KEEP YOU BUSY , CHURCH, RUNNING THE TRACK TO STAY IN SHAPE. WATCHING TV, PLAYING CARDS, DOMNINOS, COOKING, PLAYING BASKETBALL, SOFTBALL OR FOOTBALL.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Don: NO, I LIVED IN A DORM WITH 142 INMATES ON BUNK BEDS, THE COUNT CHANGED DEPENDS ON WHEN SOMEONE WAS RELEASED AND WHEN SOMEONE WAS COMING IN. SO WHEN YOU ARE ASIGNED A BED, THAT'S WAS WHERE YOU SLEPTED.
