JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process: Eric: did not have one Paul: I sat in jail after I was charged. I sat there until I was
sentence. Which felt like took for ever I hated it. You feel like
your missing ur whole life flash b4 you. Jail is not fun an not
a place to be stay out of it trust me Cody: The jail was overcrowded to
begin with when first arriving.
The food was horrible and the
prices for commissary where
unreasonable. The C.O's are
very very rude and childish.The
jail had a lot of racial
segregation. The time dragged
and they always postpone your
court dates last minute without
even informing you. They will
force you to take medicines you
don't need.
JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested. Eric: i was shoplifting at target got busted there Paul: I was arrested on sence. I was at the station for 10 hrs I
didn't eat could only us the bathroom twice. Didn't feed us
nothing. The cruel an inhuman to do. Felt like I was gone
forever nevertheless alive felt useless in jail.. I missed my
friends an family Cody: Warrant for not checking in with
p.o. which was for a previously
served westmoreland charge,
illegally was I asked to present
I.d. by springdale police officer I
fcomplied and got arrested.
Previously when I first got
charged they did not question
me either they never came to
my house caught me with a
warrant.
JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall. Eric: brought from jail to court holding cell, went be for
the judge, and plead guilty Paul: Alot or anticipation i was nervous anxiety through the roof.
Alot f debate as well. I thought I was doing years. This legal
system is fucked up. Esp for ppl that had a clean record...
screwed us over good. Can't get no jobs nothing. I feel
useless with out a job Cody: Court took forever to get to in
the first place it was a waiting
game. The judges were okay
but they were harsher on drug
dealers then they were on sex
offenders which I thought was
ridiculous. They had their
favorites you could tell but I
guess that's how it goes. As
long as you have a lawyer the
judges do go by the law so you
have a fair chance.
JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of? Eric: 6 counts of retail theft,3 defiant trespassing Paul: 2 counts burglary
2 Counts theft
2counts conspiracy to burglary
1 criminal trespass
after
2 counta burglary
2 theft charges
1 conspiracy charge Cody: Manufacturing sale delivery, got
convicted on all
