JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Ricky: It was a long process to get any medication.
JM: How did you get your medications?
Ricky: I personally never took any medications In prison outside of
aspirin. You had a put a slip in to see the nurse, then she
would buzz your cell door when she made her rounds.
JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Ricky: Getting caught a using drugs would earn you 30 days in
solitary confinement, or seg. I had witnessed this many times,
as the prison was full of drugs.
