JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Susan: Fifteen years with ten to serve
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Susan: I spent the entire day in the holding cell, as
my sentencing was at 9:30 in the am. I cried the
entire day. My lawyer had told me there was no
way I would get more than 18 months and there
was no way the judge would send me to jail
before Christmas. I was not expecting to be
going to jail. I was locked in this cold damp
cage with women who all seemed to know each
other. Honestly, I couldn't keep it together.I
was practically hyperventalating I was so scared.
