Visitor Policy

Interview with Susan

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Susan: Visits were allowed 3 times per week. Minimum had scheduled days for visits as did each dorm in medium.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Susan: In medium the check in can be tough, especially if it the first time somebody comes. Tell them to check the website and follow dress code. Usually once the officers got to know the visitors, it wasn't so bad.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Susan: In Minimuim security your visitors can bring you food. Either take out or home cooked. No drinks or liqiuds though. The same officer supervises visits in both buildings. You can hold hands over the table during the visit. You are also allowed a "brief embrace and closed mouth kiss" at the beginning and end of the visit. They also have cards and board games you can play at the visit. There were also vending machines in both buildings.
