Pre-sentencing

Interview with Tyler and Brooke

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Tyler: Well, there wasn't much of a process cause for the one charge was I was arrested on a Friday and got out on a Monday and stayed there the whole time. For the other is was ten days from start to finish.
Brooke: I was arrested on a warrent

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Tyler: I merely had a misdemeanor charge for drunk and disorderly. And a differnt itme was it was a DUI but those charges ultimately got dropped.
Brooke: Police came to arrest me at my house after someone made an annonmous tip

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Tyler: On the drunk and disorderly I did't have to go to court. And on the DUI case I had a personal attorney and only had to appear one time. It was real chaotic over there. They were rather confused. I had to go to one courtroom before they told me it was postoned and sent me to another court room.
Brooke: I didnt go to court since it was a warrent

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Tyler: Both were misdemeanor charges. Drunk and disorderly and a DUI
Brooke: Shoplifting
