Medications

Interview with Seth, Ellen and Isaac

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Seth: you had acess everyday to it
Ellen: YES THE NURSE WAS ALWAYS ON CALL
Isaac: I did not have any necessary medications, but a nurse would come around 2 or 3 times a day for the people that did.

JM: How did you get your medications?
Seth: if you had to have medications the nurse would come around 3 times a day to give it you daily
Ellen: I WOULD PUT IN FOR A SICK CALL THROUGH THE OFFICER AND WITHIN 24 HOURS A NURSE WOULD COME SEE ABOUT YOUR CONDITION
Isaac: A nurse would come around 2 or 3 times a day. Everyone would be momentarily sent to their cells and those people taking medication would line up and receive it.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Seth: did not witness if you got drug charges they would put you in a cell block with those people and make you go to a class
Ellen: THERE WERE SHAKEDOWNS IN EVERYONE'S CELL TO SEEK OUT CONTRABAND, PILLS ETC. THE ONES WHO WERE CAUGHT WITH IT WERE PUNISHED
Isaac: Possession of drugs could lead to additional charges being filed and/or other disciplinary actions, such as time in solitary confinement. I did not personally witness either.
