Time off for good behavior
Food and Commissary
JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Denise: yes the womens pod only held 4 women and there were several occasions when we had as many as 10. I got into 2 physical altercations while I was there and was "locked down" for 14 days @ a time
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Denise: when I was there we had a female inmate that was sleeping with a male trustee and the trustee cell was next door so she would talk to him thru the door and in the shower so you had to be quiet alot and finally we got fed up with it all. needless to say she got pregnant and just recently gave birth outside of jail
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Denise: we had 1 person cells inside 1 big pod so i didnt have a "roommate" we shut our individual doors @ 10pm and they were opened @5am
