Closing Advice

Interview with Scott, Elna, Todd and Guy

JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Scott: Just do what the officers ask you to do. Stay away from gambling and getting in debt. Try your best to get in the workers unit and to get any hp if youcan get it
Elna: The second they find out that someone they know is going to the jail they should call immediately to post bail. We only get one phone call so if you recieve a call pretty much the entire responsibility falls on you. Also regarding setting up a ride when getting out- I was released downtown at 1am with a dead phone and not knowing anybody. Please make sure to show up to the jail as early as possible to pick up the person getting out.
Todd: it really isn't a bad jail it's just you have some guards that can be an ass..
Guy: stay in contact with them. don't outcast them give them a chance to make it right with you and the LORD. Jail isn't easy they need support not money just some love and hope.

JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Scott: Kind of the same as above. Its a laid back jail just get used to being in your cell. Try to get along and dont gamble or get into debt
Elna: Keep to yourself, eat quickly, stay warm with blankets and don't listen when other inmates antagonize you or ask you for your food or your blankets/sheets. Don't show signs of fear but don't befriend anyone that seems sketchy. These people are in jail for a reason.
Todd: go do your time get it over with and try not to go back
Guy: stay to yourself, stay out of trouble learn to do the right thing even in there so you can do it when you get out. Take some of the courses that they over to pass time. not a lot overed but u can go to church and AA/NA meetings.
