Interview with Scott, Elna, Todd and Guy

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Scott: You could get visitors twice a week for thirty minutes each visit forty five minutes for inmate workers
Elna: I'm not sure, they gave us a paper to fill out about who could visit us but I was only there overnight.
Todd: i don't accept any vivitors other than my attornies
Guy: 2 times a week plus hoidays i would have a visitor about one time a month

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Scott: Yes they usually had to show up two hours before the visitation began and they had to be run through ncic to check for warrants
Elna: This question isn't applicable to me, I recieved no visitors. I did however see other inmates recieve visitation for around a half hour at a time.
Todd: no visitors
Guy: not really..just had to have things in order it was hard on my aunt because she is old and would somtimes have to walk a long ways to see me

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Scott: Only three inmates could visit in each pod at each thirty minute intervals. There was a glass partition between the inmate and the visitors as you talk through the phone. A lot of times you were shorted your time because they was late getting you called to the visitation booth
Elna: I walked up to the visitation area on accident at one point just to see what it looked like. It was a very small area with metal seats and thick glass walls. There were phones connected to each side of the glass wall for the inmate to converse with their visitor.
Todd: talk on phone while looking through glass
Guy: it sucked. you were behind glass so you couldn't touch them and they were hard to hear also had to talk through a phone even though you were setting right there. really hard for older people to hear you. just had to try to make the best of it and be glad somone showed up to see you.
