Interview with Sean

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Sean: The first facility I was in had several. I think min. 1,min 2 max 1 max 2 and solitary. The new jail had three "dorms" of 60 beds each for men and two dorms of 30 each for womon.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Sean: Pods A1, B1, C1 for men. D2, D3 for women

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Sean: Non-violent offenders were usually separated from violent and/or felony offenders. However when we got moved to max1, I was housed with felons and they might not of supposed to be violent, some of them were pretty rough

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Sean: The "old" jail was in poor maintenance. Alot of the showers, sinks, and toilets did not operate properly. We had one sink that ran 24/7 with HOT water. Thought they would try fix that just to conserve. "New" jail was not bad. It was less than a year old and in good repair. Also, the Captain there was adament to keep regular maintenace and cleanliness. He did personal inspections.
