JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process: DL.Bliss: i was arrested on a year old warrant. I posted
bail to await my hearing. I was arraigned on the
charge of violation of probation and failure to
appear. I plead no contest. Keith: Its long process just waiting basically until they feel its time for
sentencing and it doesnt make sense because it takes 2 to 4
weeks for pre sentencing to end then you could actually be set
back if new people are being incarcerated which hurts you
also every day here Michelle: iwas at jail east from august 3, 2009 until
november 26, 2009. Roxy: Well pre sentencing made me nervous
just like court the
questioning slight background check the
stare downs i mean
it felt just like the real thing waiting
around for them to call
your name for pre sentencing interview
session pre
sentencing feels just like the real thing
every time any day
JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested. DL.Bliss: no Keith: Police came to my house actially for questioning then later i
was summon to court which led to a eventual arrest so
basically i came in got question was held then convicted for
my crime you could say i mean i almost went to trail but i was
given a great deal Michelle: i was arrested at work for id theft. Roxy: Well actually it was my childs birthday we
was celebrating partying laughing
dancing just having a good time until we
got a thunderous knock which the sheriff
informed me that i had a active arrest
warrant so i went downtown for booking
and processing and await the judges
decisions for release
JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall. DL.Bliss: It took a long time. I came at 9:00 am and
didn't leave till around 2:45 pm. The bailiff
was helpful. Keith: Cold uncalled for unreasonable unfair they dont respect you
dont want to hear from you just want you to be bashed by their
action and words and great i had a paid lawyer because a
public defender works to hurt you in every which way possible
which aint right at all Michelle: i went to court three times and each time was a
long process. very long wait. Roxy: Court so much i can say about court
people who change to spectators the
feeling knowing somebody is about to
judge you by a bad mistake you make
gives you a underdog feeling the person
who types out everything said prosecutor
lawyers trying to come to an agreement
family hoping you come home
JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of? Keith: Vandlism under 500 disordrly conduct Michelle: identiy theft and theft between 500.00 to 1000.00. Roxy: My original charges was aggravated
assault which was overturn to simple
assault
