Interview with Shannon

JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time?
Shannon: We had School to go to, we had church services and we would get to go to the gym when it was cold and then when it was warm we would get to go outside, we got to play basketball and volleyball. Going to the library to check out books

JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details.
Shannon: We had field day once a year round july that was like having field day at school but just in a different place . Volleyball compititions which the winning team would get a trophy and Baseball,was the same they would get a trophy also.Thatas all th stuff we had that we done

JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail?
Shannon: yes. I went in at 92 lbs and came out at 165 a lot of the equiptment they had was broke and in terribl shape and they never replaced them when we would ask so the only thing we had to do is walk

JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise?
Shannon: During the summer and before it was depending on the weather if it was raining we had to stay in. When outside we could walk the track or play basket ball and play volleyball

JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held?
Shannon: yes ,Thy came every other day and we had bible study as well. They sang and taught and read scriptures
