JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Shannon: yes, outside and inside the buiding
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Shannon: calls were a 1.00each call so depending on how
many calls you made it could range from $20 if
its local and more if its long distance
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Shannon: no Our family would have to use global link for
us to call them or we would have to send in a
form to get money put on our count from our wages
we made from working there
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Shannon: Yes! They screen cals at certain times
