Meals

Interview with Raquel

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Raquel: We recieved three meals per day

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Raquel: I would rate the meals a One out of a ten. Sometimes they looked like slop litterally. But we all had to eat them if we didnt we would starve, especially if you didnt have any commisary money coming in. We had no choice but to eat everything that was on our plate.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Raquel: There was only one and they only have it every two weeks,, and it was cheesy potatoes with a roll of Bread and a oatmeal cookie for desert.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Raquel: The only meals offered outside of the 3 meals a day we only given to pregnat inmates or those who had diabetes. And commisary was expensive especially the hygienes and we all needed them because we would only get two barz of soap every 3 days.
