Closing Advice

Interview with Lou and Cindy

JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Lou: The best way to support them if they can't get them out immediately just make sure they have money on thier books. That's a big thing for snacks and writing materials and comfort stuff to make the time go faster. If you can stay in contact with them and come visit if you can. And if you can afford it get them a good lawyer.
Cindy: Don't ever trust a court-appointed lawyer. They are made of crap. Don't try to manipulate the system. Let the judge sentence without trying to add your own two cents by calling the lawyer every day and trying to get your own stipulations put in.

JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Lou: Just just keep to yourself, don't be a smart ass, don't act like a big shot because smoebody else is always bigger and batter. Be cool. Be nice. It will get you a long way.
Cindy: Be sure and keep your job, if you get one. Makes the time go by a lot better, and you actually are doing something with your life. That is to say, don't quit.

JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to.
Lou: Plano and Carrolton.
Cindy: I've been to Rockwall County Jail, SAFPF Burnet, and the VOA halfway house.
