Interview with Shelia

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Shelia: You can only bring clothing in if you are doing weekends or turn yourself in. You can only have white under garments and no one is allowed to bring you clothing.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Shelia: I wore a orange and white stripped uniform. A short sleeved shirt and pants. I wore a white sleeved shirt underneath the short sleeved shirt. I wore long sleeved white socks and a white wire-less bra and white panties. The shoes were on sandal typed close toed shoes with a strap on the back.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Shelia: Orange uniforms was light security inmates. Red uniforms were for people with assult charges. Green uniforms werefor federal inmates. Green and white was trustees. Black and white was medium security inmates.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Shelia: No the clothing for men and women wasnt diffrent.
