Interview with Carlos

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Carlos: Laredo jail has about 3 stories about 4 blocks per floor. It is a small jail but very fierce.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Carlos: The blocks are numbered.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Carlos: Laredo is all mexican, if you are any other ethnicity beware. . they will not house you anywhere but with general population.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Carlos: The nicest thing about the blocks is that it has a old timey feel. Jail cells are right next to each other and create one big octagon with an enclosed office in the middle, it was really loud in this jail that was the worst part.
