Interview with KG, buddy, Casey and Sam
JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
KG: Yes
buddy: Yes.
Casey: No
Sam: Yes if I had someone to call
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
KG: Collect calls
buddy: $3.80 for 15 minutes.
Sam: its like $5 a minute and Id say the average inmate
would spend around like $50 on phone calls
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
KG: no, the phone would not allow calling cards,
buddy: No, but all calls were collect and the person you
called had to pay for the call.
Casey: no.
Sam: If you didnt want the party you were calling to pay
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
KG: I imagine they did.
buddy: Sometimes, I don't really know when.
Casey: so they said..
Sam: Thats a question with an obvious answer
