Interview with Allan, Clayton and Gabi

JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Allan: Yes. Except they shut the phones off the week of Thanksgiving because of the fights that broke out over pie that was served.
Clayton: Yes but the phone pin system didnt work for me until the 3rd day

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Allan: $2.50 for 15 minutes. You had to pay through commissary. You had to spend a minimum of $5. The only good thing is that they had a good phone system. The $2.50 covered calls you made anywhere.
Gabi: 50/75 a week

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Allan: Yes, see above.
Gabi: yes or your family had to put money on their phone

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Allan: Yes, all calls are recorded.
Clayton: They record them
Gabi: hell yeah they did and it made it tough trying to talk to my husband
