Interview with Matthew

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Matthew: They were called Pods or Tanks, and there were about 10 of them, very limited floorspace. Within all the tanks, there was one women's tank, and one they kept all the sex offenders in. They mostly had different security-levels.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Matthew: Yeah, mostly letter-based. you start out in L tank, unless you have past offenses in the county, then you go off to whichever security-level they send you to. K tank was a medium security tank, which was senseless, because they put me in there for Mal. mischief.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Matthew: They kept sex offenders segregated, and the same with women, and different security levels.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Matthew: the best part was always the people, the worst was the food. Some tanks had some really ignorant people. Mostly young people and drug addicts.
