Closing Advice

Interview with Darlene, Ryan and Janis

JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Darlene: Before you go in, purchase all the approved clothing to bring in with you it makes a world of diffrence.
Ryan: Yes, don't be too worried about them, commissary money is nice to have, and regular visits keep inmates happy. For extended stays, pictures and letters are very helpful.
Janis: Send food!

JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Darlene: Don't start fight's, but dont back down and look like a wimp either or you will be walked all over on by everyone. Watch all your possessions especially stuff purchased on commissary because people are shady and will steal from you!
Ryan: I would say to not commit any crimes at all. Jail sucks and if you can avoid going there, do so at all costs.
Janis: Try to just sleep off as much time as possible.

JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to.
Darlene: Snohomish County jail and I am currently in intensive outpatient treatment at Phoenix Recovery in Mount Vernon, WA
Ryan: Parke Creek group home, WA, Richland Juvenile Facility in Richland WA.
Janis: Only juvinile detention when I was a kid, called Denny Youth Center in Everett, WA
