Medications

Interview with Jon, Sabrina, Ronchie Boy, Gary, Lance, Seth, Liz, Nate, Duane and Aaron

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Jon: no
Sabrina: no
Ronchie Boy: yes
Gary: touchy subject yes an no
Lance: Never had meds
Seth: yea you have access to meds only if you really need em.
Liz: you were able to "kite" to get your medication, either to have someone on the outside bring it to the jail or wait to be seen by there "medical" staff and ordered to have meds.
Nate: No you did not less medical was around
Duane: no. I got some ibuprofen for my back. could not get more. very rude nurse.
Aaron: N/A, don't ever volunteer to go to medical unit. you are locked up for 23.5 hours with two other inmates on cots. From what I hear it totally sucks. Do your best to get to trustee unless you are eligible for work release or MSR (minimal security risk)

JM: How did you get your medications?
Jon: it took along time like 10days
Ronchie Boy: didn't have any
Gary: a nurse despensed them on the block the jail charged for each pill you got for example a high blood pressure med callec attenenol at walmart costs $4.00 fr a 30 day supply the jail would charge you $3.00 a PILL!in the 90 days i was there I racked up over 3000.00 dollars in medication costs alone and still had to have my toes amputated due to lack of medical care and if you would like to contact me latter feel free ti do so because i have stoires and proof of kick back to pharmacys under contract with this jail
Lance: n/a
Seth: i got my medications because they did a check up on me so i told them i had high blood pressure. they asked me what i took for medicine and i said nothin.
Liz: the would have a medical cart come to the pods and you were let out of your cell alphabetically to get and take your meds .
Nate: to get your medication you have to write a kite and you would have to wait for that to go through usually that would take out of the least I would say 15 hours.
Duane: through the nurse. depending on which one you might get lucky. the aditude was if you were not dying you did not need it
Aaron: bought ibuprofen from commissary, didn't deal with the nurse.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Jon: pill count if you were abusing your pills. or you would go to segregation
Sabrina: in the hole and another convition
Ronchie Boy: I think you get re arrested and get new charges.
Gary: yes i did yiu were sent to a maximum security lock down and you lost all of your good time
Lance: I witnessed some people only taking half of thier meds and trading the other half for food items and such...
Seth: punishments that you got for drugs were things like being sent to the hole, new charges, good time taken away, you know things of that nature.
Liz: if you were brought into the jail and in withdrawal they would put you on withdrawal wall, which was a mat on the floor against the wall in the common area were everyone else had rec. i not only witnessed this but lived it as well, ridiculed by the guards. and other inmates as well
Nate: well you would get to go to lock down and big possibly even charge you with another case and you want to do another case on top of the kids are doing.
Duane: nope. never saw this. although some people did snort instant coffe. crazy fools they be. at least they got some big boogers.
Aaron: N/A
