Meals

Interview with Paul

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Paul: We recieved 3 meals during the day.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Paul: On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being best, iw oudl rate it a 4. We did not get fresh food very often and the menu was always the same. It was prepared by inmates and they did not supply us much to do much with, so it was not good.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Paul: Favorite was dinner, least favorite was breakfast because there was only usually ceral and powdered milk, and perhaps a banana.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Paul: Commisary was priced about 20% over the street and it was expensive with little selection. There was no snacks outside of when we ate meals and if you missed a meal, you were out of luch.
