Interview with Tammy, Tiffany, Sarah, Rachel and Betty

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Tammy: you didnt get to wear your personal clothing. they gave you jail clothes which were like medical scrubs. depending if you were sentenced or not - that would decide what color you wore. Like blue if your first arrested and waiting trial, grey if your county sentenced.
Tiffany: Bra (no underwire) white or grey sweatshit ot tshirt. Sock white . Panties. I wore my contacts.
Sarah: You can bring in socks and a sports bra with no wires and a plain grey sweater .
Rachel: underwear had to be boyshorts,no thongs or bikini, you were able to bring a sweatshirt that had to be grey but no buttons, zippers, hoodies etc
Betty: the only thing i could bring in there were regular underwear or a long sleeve gray shirt

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Tammy: they were like medical scrubs like i stated in previous question. blue for pretrial and grey if sentenced
Tiffany: Navy blue scrub pants and shirt. All the inmates wear the same color outfit. Male and female. You are lucky if you get to keep your bra. You must remove the underwire.
Sarah: It was a faded dark blue uniform. It looked like nurse pants and top but not thin material. It was very think and rought fabric
Rachel: it was a navy blue it almost looks like a nursing scrub..the top had a v neck and the bottoms were like scrub pants that doctors wear
Betty: my set uniform was almost like nursing or doctor scrubs they were navy blue and had the size in the bottom corner they didnt even give you anything to wear under the shirt

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Tammy: no we all wore the same clothes/ uniforms
Tiffany: No but they would fight over the newer more "bluer" scrubs. Especially on visitation days.
Sarah: All of the clothes looks the same. All blue and all faded
Rachel: i dont understand this question,,i think once everybody gets booked they should be in uniforn
Betty: no there were not any assiged clothes everybody had to wear the same thing

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Tammy: no, they wore the same also.
Tiffany: No the same . Blue scrubs. Only juviniles wear another color.
Sarah: There is no different in clothing they both wear the same thing .
Rachel: No same type of clothes just different colors
Betty: they were in the same type of clothes but i dont think the same color
