Good Behavior

Interview with JD

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
JD: No. I had a fixed sentence and so was to be incarcerated for my entire sentence. But misbehavior could result in added time to one's sentence.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
JD: Being a county jail facility, it held pretrial individuals, those serving short sentences, and those awaiting transfer to other facilities or extradition to other states/communities. One's behavior here would undoubtedly be considered upon transfering to other facilities and could be a determining factor in prisoner placement and good behavior releases at those facilities.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
JD: Smoking ( all tobacco products are prohibited), possession of contraband( including tobacco, racy literature, lighters, weapons, illegal or prescription drugs) Fighting, Insubordination, or inciting confrontations or predatory behavior.
