Interview with Steve

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Steve: Must server forty five days before court hearing but thats only for felony lprobationers..you may either have a paid attorney or the state will appoint you a public defender..once your court date is set you will attend a probation revocation to determine the outcom of your crime for your chargd..

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Steve: Yes they dis stop by to ask questions pertaining to the incident..i was also ask to come to the station to take a polygraph test.they return with incident reports and photo copies of my id and from the place of the incident along with the victums incident paperwork of what happen.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Steve: Court wasnt at all bad besides the long wait to be in front of the judge. You sit in a holdin tank untill your name is called but during the wait you have accesd to talk to your lawyer to try and work out a deal with the d.a..if a detail is agreed sentencing does take long.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Steve: 1st degree financial fraud..i was convicted of fourth degree forgery.r
