Interview with Jake, misty, Sam, Bruce and Brian

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Jake: twice a week
misty: 2 TIMES A WEEK
Sam: Two visitors per visit, twice a week.
Bruce: Twice a week
Brian: Visitors were allowed in the jail from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on most weekdays, though attorneys could schedule visits outside of those hours.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Jake: no check in, and go through a metal detector
misty: NO IT WAS SOMETIMES A WAIT FOR 30 MINUTES BUT NO MORE
Sam: They said depends on the day and if they had room.
Bruce: a little bit from what I heard
Brian: Yes; I only had visits from two family members, and both said it was disconcerting to be treated as a potential smuggler. They said they would put money on my commissary account, but they would not make a second trip to the jail, just to be rousted on the way in.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Jake: Glass window and 4 inmates visiting at a time. not very personal
misty: A ROW OF CHAIRS AND STAINLESS STEEL COUNTER WITH PLEXY GLASS WINDOWS AN A PHONE
Sam: Four windows close quarters, with a divider. Very loud and not very personal. Metal counters and seats.
Bruce: Jail
Brian: A concrete visitors' area in the center of the gen pop pod, where glass separators with small holes allowed inmates to speak to visitors. Attorney visitation cells had small spaces under the windows for sliding documents back and forth between the inmate and their counsel, and no recording devices were on in the area.
