Medications

Interview with Jorge, Laura, Terry and Eva

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Jorge: Yes they were very good about making sure that everyone had easy access to whatever meds they needed.
Laura: You had to out in a notification to see medical and then they would diagnose you. However I think they were a little too willing to give out some psych meds.
Terry: I had no need for them, but saw many people denied their's.
Eva: No you did not they say you do but inside they do whatever they want

JM: How did you get your medications?
Jorge: I never took any meds while i was there.
Laura: You had to line up to get them at pill call.
Terry: This is not applicable to me,, but it seemed that they were doled out by a guard at breakfast and dinner.
Eva: Personally I didn't take any but they would come once in the morning and once in the evening stand in line and take your meds. They call it med pass

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Jorge: I dont know I never saw anything like that take place
Laura: Never saw any.
Terry: People who were caught with drugs got thirty days in the 'hole'. I saw one guy get this punishment for cigs.
Eva: You would probably get wrote up and be sent to the hile but I haven't seen it because they check to make sure you take them
