Interview with Ricardo, Lori, Carlos, Kirk, Tyler, Enrique and Anna

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Ricardo: Socks, boxers, flip flops, and jail uniform. Although the majority of the inmates just wear two pairs of boxers socks pulled high and flip- flops.
Lori: what i last had on...all clothes were given back to me..shorts/shirts/shoes underwear. Purse/jewelry and all that I wore on my back.
Carlos: Ya just underwear and socks
Kirk: You are allowed to keep your underwear and socks or you can purchase them from commisarry
Tyler: I would have taken a jacket because it is very cold at nights and also socks and underwear
Enrique: underwear and socks where the only things you can bring in you were able to purchase sweaters shorts and undershirts through commissary
Anna: You could buy underwear, socks, bras, boxers, gym shorts, thermal tops, thermal bottoms, but again the pricess were crazy.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Ricardo: Yees , green scrub like uniform for misdemeanor crimes, orange for felonies, blue for federal. White for trustee.
Lori: loose/do not recall color it was orange I think loose and possibly too large. Mine did fit me and I did not I worried about how I really looked.
Carlos: One piece jump suit and color depended on your charges
Kirk: You are issued a jumpsuit and some canvas shoes with no laces one towel one sheet and a blanket you can purchase shorts and thermal shirts from commissary
Tyler: the uniform that was assigned to me was a whole one piece stripped orange jumpsuit, with a attached look a like zipper in the middle to close it
Enrique: The only clothing were were issued was one jumpsuit that must be worn at all times when out of you cell or out of the tank and one set of shoes. The jumpsuits were color coded depending you your classification.
Anna: The uniform consisted of a red pants bottom that was usually tight in the elastic area and baggy every else, and a red shirt top.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Ricardo: No. Although when you leave you probably will not be leaving with your socks and boxers.
Lori: no that i recall as did not notice this occurring around me if this were to have occurred
Carlos: No
Kirk: No there isn't just make sure they fit right you want it a little loose
Tyler: other than sweaters there where a high demand for shower shoes
Enrique: Just try and get a decent pair of shoes the jumpsuits were changed out every week
Anna: LOL no they usually look for the newer sets of clothes.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Ricardo: no. They were the same.
Lori: no if I remember.. I do not recall differences..none that I noticed
Carlos: Just color
Kirk: Yes women have two piece uniform men a jumper
Tyler: it pretty much looks the same a one piece suit
Enrique: Not sure there was no women at the Annex
Anna: Yes the men wore a jumper.
